CHRIS’S FIGHT

My name is Destiny Stroud and I am writing on behalf of my cousin, Chris Garlington. Many of you may know him as Jug (or Big Country), and know him as the friendliest, most kind hearted person you will ever meet. Most may not be aware that Chris has been battling cancer since November 2021. He was diagnosed in January of this year with Adenocarcinoma, which has metastasized to his liver, his lymph nodes near his liver, and also 1 rib on his left side. Chris has been receiving chemotherapy treatments since March and has been traveling back and forth to Shreveport for his doctor visits and these treatments. All of this has taken a toll on his body and has weakened his immune system greatly. I am asking for all of you to please pray for Chris, and to ask for prayers from any prayer groups you may have at Church, that he gains his strength back and wins this battle with cancer. I know any donations would be very helpful with traveling and other expenses. I just want Chris to be able to focus on getting healthy and letting his body heal itself.
