Medical Bills for Mark

On April 19, 2021 our world came to a stop. My dad, Mark was working in Vermont when he had a stroke. He was diagnosed with left basal ganglia hemorrhage and intraventricular hemorrhage, big words for a stroke with a brain bleed. He lost movement in the right side of his body, had a 7mm brain shift and he spent weeks being unresponsive. Thanks to COVID the first week and a half he was alone while my mom stayed in a hotel half a mile down the road getting updates as often as she could until she was allowed to go into the hospital. While in the hospital he was also diagnosed with pneumonia and was put on a bi pap machine to open his lungs to help him breathe, his blood sugar surged to over 700, a 9mm lower left lung cavitary nodule was found and he was in and out of the ICU. After spending 31 long days at UMV in Burlington, Vermont he was finally stable enough to be transferred by ambulance to Upstate University in Syracuse, New York. He will need many weeks of rehab and most likely 24 hour care when he is finally able to go home. Due to his illness he can no longer work and my mom is now his caregiver. 31 days of medical care and counting is adding up. Many people have reached out directly to my mom already and she is is overwhelmed by the love and support she has received. I’m hoping to raise some money to start putting towards the many, many medical bills that have already been billed to them and the ones that will be accumulating for months to come. Anything is appreciated, thank you. ❤️
