On November 8th our lives completely changed. My daughter Hannah (18) had taken the bus at 6 am to work in Chico. My son, Jaden (14), asked me to look outside as he was getting ready for school and what we saw was horrifying. Debris on fire falling from the sky.
I called my mom and she told me the fire was moving up the ridge and to leave town. As I was quickly packing suitcases for the kids my mom called me again asking where I was. She said, “stop packing, leave everything, and take the quickest road out of Paradise.”
I left the suitcases and ran with Jaden to the car in my pjs and slippers. We drove through the unthinkable to get out of there. A week later it was confirmed that we lost everything. We had just recently moved to Paradise, I had just started going back to school. And now we find ourselves starting over, again.
Donations would help me cover the cost of having our own trailer someday. We also have the expense of replacing lost items. It’s been overwhelming. I have other impacted family members who are also trying to rebuild their lives.

My daughter has relocated to San Diego because of this she is living with her father now..she is being loved on and taken care of down there!!
