As many of you know, Mike was in a horrific snowmobile accident back in December 2009. This left Michael paralyzed and quadriplegic. Through the years he has overcome many hurdles from surgeries to learning to live in his new normal. In 2012 he was back in his happy place, behind the wheel of a truck, something he didn’t know if he’d ever do again. He did this with the help of a turning adaptive truck seat that allows him to enter and exit his wheelchair along with hand controls to accelerate and break the vehicle.

On August 29th, 2024, Mike was in a car accident. As Mikes family, we are extremely grateful he wasn’t hurt badly (again). Unlike his truck, which suffered some serious damage. Michael’s truck is totaled and his insurance company will not cover the cost of his handicapped adaptive seat, or his hand controls. This seat is beyond expensive and on limited income for a disabled person, almost impossible to obtain.

With that being said, we as a family, are asking for any help possible to help Mike get back on the road. This is his only means of transportation- allowing him to get back to work and get back to visiting family, friends and get him ready to (hopefully) back in the woods this year for hunting. The independence of being mobile is so important to Mikes well-being and quality of life.

Mike would do anything for anybody in need, paralyzed or not - so now it’s our turn to help him at his time of need!
