Help a Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire

My name is Kai. I am a 32 yr old mom. I have a blended family of 2 adults and 6 kids.

On Saturday March 1st 2025, at 6:44pm our entire home and everything my family loved burned to the ground.

All of our kids, and the 3 in the other apartment, made it out safe.

My snake and her kittens did not survive. My calico kitty was lost inside all night. Thankfully she was recovered the next morning. Vet visit has not been situated yet.

I also worked from home so I lost all my work supplies and have no income.

We didn't even grab shoes as we left. Our van is still broken down in the driveway covered in debri.

The landlord did not have fire extinguishers or working smoke detectors in either apartment.

Budget breakdown:

$1k for temporary housing (hotel, motels etc)

$2k to pay off past rent, electric, internet etc.

$1k to work on/fix the van

$2k for move in fees

$2k for new clothes, shoes and toiletries ($300 per person)

$2k to replace work at home supplies (and to refund lost commissions)
