Dear friends, family, and neighbors,

I wanted to share an update on our journey. While Adam is mostly healed physically, we are still struggling deeply with the financial and emotional aftermath of the accident.

As many of you know, he was hit in April while selflessly stopping to move large pieces of tire debris off the highway to keep other drivers safe. It is heartbreaking that since then, the person who hit him has chosen to sue us for damage to her car. Not to mention that we can't sue her and, even though he was at work, this injury was not covered by worker's comp because moving debris out of the road is " not part of his job". Because of that, we have had to pay for everything. We are grateful that the court immediately dismissed the ticket he received for being on the roadway, recognizing he was only trying to help. This has been an incredibly taxing year, and we are so thankful for any support you can provide.
