MY FUNDRAISER. MY STORY.
I urgently need your help.
No donation is too small — Each one will be treasured.
At the age of 73, I’ve seen my world turned upside down during the past six years – with little end in sight.
· I was blindsided and terrified by the thought of having cancer. In 2015, I had my first Laryngoscopy Surgery Procedure of the larynx, followed by five more through this year.
· I lost my voice and was unable to speak clearly and be understood.
· I was unable to generate an income.
· My best friend, Bravo – the most beautiful Golden Retriever, passed away in March.
As a result, I lost my livelihood, financial security and well-being. Fortunately, I still have perseverance,
courage and resilience. And always will.
Social Security has become my only lifeline; albeit a poor one at that. Each month it only covers an estimated 70% of my total expenses. Since I do not have needed financial security/resources it’s very difficult to manage my mental and physical health. Case in point: I cannot afford to buy a 30-day supply of any of the eight prescription meds I take. So I buy less. Not a good solution!
I have my back to the wall with:
· Ongoing past due accounts, debt and interruptions with my phone and utility services.
· Losing my insurance with United Healthcare if I cannot pay my prescription drug and supplement by November 15.
· Receiving six eviction notices since January.
My short-term fundraising goal is $10,000. If necessary, I will supplement incoming funds from Social Security and potential income as a freelance writer and consultant, to ensure that I'm able to pay all expenses related to my health, life and home.
The sense of urgency of this campaign is real.
· Your donation will relieve the mental pressure/stress I face daily without having financial security.
· No donation is too small — Each one will be treasured.
· Your donation will reflect the confidence you have in me to succeed. Thank you.

Your support will give me the staying power to accomplish the following important goals:
1. IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF MY HEALTH – Mental (e.g., Depression. Anxiety) and Physical.
I would never consider a fundraiser if this was not my #1 priority and long-term commitment. It’s a must. It will drive how I achieve financial security and pursue a career. My ability to succeed in this area will depend greatly on the quality of my health. And I’m up to the challenge to achieve my objective by managing my health well.
2. PURSUE A CAREER
As a result of my proven business/industry experience and diverse expertise, I have full confidence in the future. I plan to seek opportunities on two levels: (1) Continuing my career in the areas of international trade, transportation, and economic development, and as a writer. (2) Moving forward (and for the long-term), I plan to transition into the mental health field and seek opportunities with 501c3 non-profit organizations. This field is vitally important to me. I will seek work as a writer, strategist and/or market researcher. I'm looking forward to giving back and helping others.
My sincere appreciation to the incredible, compassionate Rabbis, Cantors and Directors at Temple Emanu-El, Dallas / My Doctors and Therapists at Baylor Scott and White Health and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas / Chief Veterinarian (Bravo’s doctor) and the Hospital Manager at VCA Central Expressway Animal Hospital / Dallas Hebrew Free Loan Association / Family and Friends
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my campaign. I would greatly appreciate if you could find it in your heart to donate to my fundraiser and share this letter with others. No donation is too small — Each one will be treasured. https://gofund.me/e825893b
