Mission Trip
Donation protected
Hey, guys guess what!?!
I am going on my first mission trip ever to Nicaragua!! I am excited about this because I will have a personal experience compared to hearing the stories of those that I have supported financially in the past. My whole life, I have always desired to fund those that are called to go, and now it's finally my turn. I am excited to serve those, and I hope to have great stories when returning home.
I know this will be a chance for me to learn about myself and be exposed to things I have not yet seen in my life. I know I will grow personally and spiritually in ways that only a mission field experience can provide. I want to continue to build character in myself, and I think this mission will offer an excellent opportunity to do so. I'm going with our Southwestern Director of communications and spiritual leader, Trey Campbell and a group of college students from across the country (yes, the book-kids) to Nicaragua in December to serve the community. I will be spending time serving the city and loving on those who need to know the love of Christ.
Our short-term team will assist with a long-term vision already established in the town. We will be assisting with community needs, including a farm that provides eggs for school children to get protein, has an alcohol rehabilitation center, and several other offerings that serve the community. We will directly interact with families in their homes and immerse ourselves in the culture. We may also be working with families who live near the city dump and the children in the area.
All the funds donated will enable me to build my faith through action and see how others live. I have always had a desire to do mission work, and I think the time for me has now come.
We may not all be called to missions, but we can all help when requested. Thank you for your consideration - there is no donation too small. It all adds up, and it all helps.
I am very grateful for any help,
Camden Grecco
