Hello! My name is Rebecca, and I am moving into a new home with my dog, Gus!

For anyone who doesn't know us, I am a cult and abuse survivor with CPTSD. I escaped my situation a few years ago, and have been struggling to get back on my feet ever since.

It took me a long time to even acknowledge what had truly happened to me. Then came the fallout. I've spent years being so sick I could hardly stand up, unable to process everything that I had gone through. At times, I wasn't even sure I would survive it. It's been a long and scary road on the way to healing, but I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Over the last year, I started opening up online about what happened to me. I started writing a blog, and speaking out on Threads. It was terrifying, but it felt like it was time to tell my story. And the overwhelming support that I have received in return has been truly life changing. I was able to find my voice again. To trust myself again. I started to believe that I could actually have a future again. For this, I can never thank you enough.

And now, it's time for me to stand on my own two feet again. I have finally found an apartment within my budget that works perfectly for both myself AND Gus The time is right, my new life is finally beginning

Now comes the tricky part! I've got my damage deposit and first month's rent paid for, but all the setup costs are a little overwhelming I need to rent a truck and get all my belongings out there, get my first big grocery order, get my power account set up, there's a lot! I hate asking for help... But I need help Because of my CPTSD, I am unable to work and rely on disability to get by. This is barely enough to survive on, I'm struggling to figure out how to cover all of this without a little boost
