Dylans recovery

Dylan my brother attended cmc this year with us, he got sick on the Sunday after some heavy drinking, well so we found out the sickness he had wasn't alcohol related.

Over the past couple of weeks dylan had been getting sicker and sicker he then was starting and continued to deteriorating until 19th of October when he was admitted to hospital.

Since then he was transferred from the Ipswich hospital to the PA overnight to have surgery on his brain to release fluid. Brain surgery was a success went better than the doctors expected. The doctors explained he had a very rare case of meningocele “Bacterial meningitis” Dylan was then transferred up to the ICU where he was put on a ventilator to help the recovery start. Dylan has then had a bad turn overnight which resulted him in having once again another stroke. The doctors then told us he wasn’t in a very good state to prepare for the worse. Dylan right side of his brain has died where he will now be permanently disabled for the rest of his life. Dylan is slowly coming back he gave his nurses a cheeky little thumbs up and was poking his tongue in and out. He is determined to fight and win. His doctors and nurses, friends and family are as well determined to fight even harder for him. Myself and my sister Amy have set this go fund me as Dylan now has a long road ahead of him, as well as not to rush my mum and dad back into work. With the money left over we will be donating the money to research for this rare case of Bacterial meningitis and as well for brain injuries. Appreciate your family hold them close because this can happen to anyone Dylan has such a beautiful bright happy personality and was so grateful and made the fullest out of life and this happened to him. Pick the phone up call your family tell them how much you love them because we are not promised tomorrow. Put your phone down appreciate the little things. Money comes and go. Your family and friends and the memories in life are what matter you will never be able to take time back you need to live in the moment and love with all your heart. Dylan you are so loved❤️
