On the night of February 9th Jeff Harmon was on his way to Bible study on his motorcycle when a car pulled out in front of him and he struck the side of their car. This resulted in many injuries including head, left shoulder dislocation and rotator cuff completely torn, right wrist fracture, left meniscus almost completely torn, shattered pelvis, internal bleeding, spleen injured and to be removed in next couple weeks, road rash and bruising all over, and more. He has been in ICU since and undergone surgery on his pelvis with possibly more in the future. This is going to be a long recovery but they are so lucky to have amazing support of friends and family.

My mom is trying to juggle the millions of phone calls a day, taking care and loving up on her husband when she is able to go in (which is not often), dealing with police and lawyers, and running here and there. They moved to South Carolina only a year ago. They are so fortunate to have their local church family that has been so amazing and supportive. Yet so many friends and family are thousands of miles away, leaving a large weight on her shoulders to be dealt with on her own.

We know that these are trying times for everyone but if you are able to give even the smallest amount it is greatly appreciated. These next few months to a year they could use any support they can get from the small (like meals and gas to drive to and from appointments), to the larger such as the hospital bills and soon rehab bills.

Anyone that knows Jeff knows him for his amazing heart. I have never met a more amazing man and I am so beyond lucky to call him my step father. That is how almost everyone that knows him feels. His laugh can make a whole room laugh, his musical talent brings a room to their feet to praise God, his kind and soft demeanor creates a space of openness to talk to him, he has been many shoulders to cry on. The one most important thing about Jeff is, he is a fighter. He has been through so much and so many obstacles in his life but he continues to shout the Lords praises through it all and encourage others even in his darkest times. I have no doubt that this will be another circumstance where so much good comes out and he gives all the glory to God.

If you are unable to give I just ask that you send prayers up often. Prayers for Jeff and his healing and Mindy for her strength and perseverance.
