Brock's survival kit - back injury

My son, Brock Miller (pictured), is the chef at 'A Vermont Place' restaurant and retail space in Hardwick, VT. This past Monday he was cutting trees for firewood and a tall tree turned and fell on him. While he was able to toss the chainsaw away from himself and leap, the tree caught him in the back and on one ankle. Fortunately there was no internal bleeding, but the injuries to his back (3 cracked vertebrae) and ankle are severe enough that he is going to miss about 6 weeks of work and has yet to go to an appointment with a spine specialist to detemrmine whether or not back surgery is going to be necessary.  He did not have medical insurance at the time (will be covered 1.1) and the accident policy he has provides set amounts for identified services and nothing for lost wages. Brock is pictured here in the kitchen of 'AVP' with his 2 yr old son, Owen. His wife, Lydia, and 5 yr old daughter, Bella are not pictured. We know the holidays can be a time when finances are tight, but any size contribution will  be appreciated.
