Sarah Needs Your Help

Family, friend, & strangers. Sarah is in need of our help. As most of you know, She was initially diagnosed with colon cancer in July of 2021. After major surgery, a right hemi-colectomy and lymph node biopsy it was found to be stage 3C. She battled her way through chemotherapy. At the end of that round it was discovered that her liver was full of tumors. During a follow up MRI a new growth was found in her liver. This turned out to be cancerous. She also has multiple lung nodules which have not been biopsied but are places of concern. Genetic testing was also done and came back with a mutation called the KRAS mutation. They call this mutation undruggable. It rules out several therapies because it just doesn't respond. The tumor is in a very difficult location so surgery and localized treatment are not possible. The cancer is stage 4 and the prognosis isn't good. Even with treatment she has been given 2 years. We hope that some new treatments will come to light in the meantime and that she will beat the odds.

She is forced to miss work due to her illness and treatments. She has not been able to build up any PTO due to her ongoing medical appointments and needs. As of now she needs help paying her household bills. She has applied and appealed to all resources available and been denied. She is stuck in a place between continuing any treatment and paying her basic bills. Her choice has been that without help she will stop treatment. If she does this, she will most likely only have months as the cancer continues to spread throughout her body. Whatever help is given, is truly and deeply appreciated.
