Hi, my name is Cheri Cartwright. I am Mariah Whitcomb’s Aunt. As many of you know, Mariah is not only an amazing mother to her seven year old son Brayden, and a wonderful daughter, sister, niece, cousin, partner and friend, she is also a cancer warrior who has been battling breast cancer since March of 2023. We were all excited that Mariah had completed chemo, and surgery and had began radiation and nobody expected what occurred on Christmas Eve. Mariah began feeling a heaviness on her left side and went to the ED. There she received a CT scan that showed a 4cm brain mass. On 12/28/23 Mariah underwent a craniotomy for brain tumor resection. In true Mariah fashion she did well and is now recovering in the hospital. The road ahead is long but Mariah has defeated every obstacle placed in her way and there is no doubt in our minds that with the help of family, friends and above all the grace of God, Mariah will again persevere.
Mariah, a critical care RN, had just returned to work when cancer reared its ugly head again and her medical and personal bills continue to mount. With no estimate of when or whether she will be able to return to her calling of caring for others, we are reaching out to request that anyone who is able, please donate. We are asking everyone to please continue to hold Mariah and her son in your prayers. Thank you.
