Tim Blackman Cancer Donation Fund
Donation protected
As some of our family and friends know, our dad, Tim Blackman, has been diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer, and is terminal. In the next few weeks we will be starting our journey doing the first 6 months of chemotherapy. Tim underwent an operation to remove the mass and 8 inches of his colon, in hopes that it would cure the problem. Unfortunately it did not. The cancer has spread and is in his abdominal cavity, surrounding all organs, with the potential to spread further without treatment. After a lengthy hospital stay and a second procedure to place a port for chemotherapy, he is now home, awaiting our next step for treatment. With Tim being the man he is asking for help is not an option; that is why we as the children have decided to reach out to not just our family and friends, but also the community. Terminal cancer is a lifelong battle, and we need help to provide our dad with the peace of mind that all he has to worry about is living life to the fullest. He has spent his entire life helping others, starting when he took his oath to serve and protect others over 27 years ago. Now here we are, not even 1 year into a well earned retirement from the Stevens County Sheriff's Deparement, struck with a life change none of us saw coming. Our family, and Tim especially, has never been one to expect or ask of anything from others, but we need help. We need help with the portion of medical bills, gas for treatment, and medications that will not be covered. His motto "get er done" is one we want to fulfill, not just in treatment, but in a long bucket list of things we thought we had forever to do. For those who do not have online capability, this donation account is set up through the local Colville Key Bank. We have no specific amount we are trying to reach. Any and all support is appreciated, even just sending a loving message his way. We are all in this together, and will enjoy every moment we are blessed with. <3
