Hello, my name is Estefani and I’m creating this account to help collect some help to cover funeral expenses and arrangements for a dear friend/coworker that just lost her son in a drowning incident yesterday August 3rd, 2025 in Bigelow Hollow State Park, Union CT 06076.

Where he went with his family and some friends to celebrate and witness a christening. I also had the opportunity to meet him and work with him and he was a very good young man, always willing to help and he was a great coworker and friend.

Jorge Cruz known as “Josue” was an awesome person in general , a great stepson, friend, nephew, grandson, coworker and he was very kind and always willing to help others whenever needed without hesitation. Josue just celebrated his

20th birthday not too long ago which he shared/ celebrated in the same day as his little sister which her coming birthdays won’t ever be the same after his sudden passing. Josue was working hard to help support their family, he had a dream to join the military because it was his dream and was looking forward to start the process soon but was preparing himself first before to taking the steps to join because he wanted to make sure to get in when he applied. He also was very talented as a barber, he was also working two jobs in maintenance and as cook.

Josue leaves behind his mother Johanna, his step father William and his 2 little sisters Arianna and Luna and another older sister Heidi and many others family members that live in Ecuador and can’t even give him the final goodbye, because of economic reasons and other challenges and restrictions.

I please ask for your help because Johanna and her family hasn’t been able to see the body yet and their are not able to collect his body from the forensic examiner office anytime soon because they need to have the funeral home selected and need to get the other funeral arrangements done and cover all the expenses but they are unable to do it all that at this time because of economic reasons and this being an unexpected situation and loss.
