Patty Burns Recovery Fund

On December 17, 2015, our dear friend Patty Burns had a tramatic and unexpected injury after falling down a flight of stairs.  In result, she has suffered from severe bleeding in her brain and a fractured skull.  She then endured emergency brain surgery to remove the blood from her brain and give her a fighting chance to prevent any short term or long term complications from the injury.  After a successful surgery, Patty was then put into a medically induced coma for a little under a week to allow her to recover from the dangerous brain surgery.  Her family waited with a heavy heart wishing for only the best news and hoping that once she wakes up that she will not only have her memory but will be able to walk and function normally.  Fortunately, Patty opened her eyes and within days she was out of the coma, was breathing on her own and was able to have the breathing tubes removed.  Being the fighter that she is, Patty was talking, moving around and was able to remember a lot of things in a matter of days; for example, not being able to cook Christmas dinner and letting her boss know that she will not be making it into work.  Since then, she has been moved from tramua ICU into a regular hospital room and now into a rebabiliation facility.  

Unfortuntaley, this unexpected injury happened right before Christmas making it a very difficult time financially.  In addition to it being so close to the holidays and now being flooded with these unexpected medical bills, her husband John was in a car accident 2 weeks prior to this injury resulting in the family not having a vechle.  As you can imagine, this family is now suffering immensely financially and would greatly appreciate any help to go toward Patty's road to recovery.  This will not be an easy journey but Patty is willing to give all of her efforts to get better.  As a very close friend to Patty, I am asking if you could help this wonderful family out at this difficult time.  Any little bit is greatly appreciated.  Thank you all for reading this story about this amazing women!
