Dobby Survived Stage 4 Renal Failure: Please Help

Hello, my name is Micki from Philadelphia, PA, and this past January, my 6-year-old cat, Dobby, almost died from acute stage 4 renal failure. To save his life, I maxed out a Care Credit card I can not afford to pay back alone on my normal income, so I started this campaign to help pay off this balance before the insanely high-interest rate drowned me. Over the course of 6 months, I was able to work a bunch of odd jobs and paid over $2,000 of his almost $7,000 original bill on my own. Now that the interest has started, I could really use some help getting over the finish line of this bill. Thank you for reading and sharing this story.

Dobby has kidney failure. Here is the timeline of events:

Tuesday 1/10/23- Dobby was acting funny and vomiting, which he had never done before. My vet suggested I take him to Urgent Care and not wait for the next available appointment. The wonderful folks at Art City Vet gave him an exam and did not see anything that would warrant an X-ray (yet), and in an attempt to save some money, I opted to have them give him fluids and anti-nausea meds and watch him for 24 hours. Total cost of that visit: $204.00

Wednesday 1/11/23: Dobby did not eat his wet breakfast (which Dobby's favorite part of the day) and spent the whole night before hiding and giving me strong Spidey Sense feelings that something was very wrong. We returned to Art City, where it was now clear to them that he was uncomfortable. The X-Ray showed no obstruction, and I requested they run his blood. This is when they found that his kidney levels (Creatinine Level) were extremely high (7.5), indicating failure. Art City advised that he go to emergency care, where he can be admitted and monitored 24/7. I am given a lot of scary information and scenarios of his possible outcomes. Total Cost of this visit: $630.25 Total Art City Vets Urgent Care cost: $834.25

Dobby is admitted to Philadelphia Animal Specialty & Emergency at 2pm. They estimated his total cost of care to be $3,000-$4,000. The total cost charged to my now maxed-out Care Credit card is now $4,834.25, and Gofundme has been made.

Thursday 1/12/23: 2:00PM Dobby eats! While I was visiting, Dobby ate food which was a HUGE relief because he had refused food up until this point. Blood work shows his Creatinine levels are going down a tad. They are still too high, and he is not out of the woods, but down is good.

While I am grateful I have a Care Credit Card to front these costs, I am in no way able to pay this off. My budget is maxed, and after interest starts getting added, this would snowball into financial ruin for me without your help. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. Please share; the more shares, the better!
I will continue to update his page every time I visit and get a new update from the vet.

1/14/23 DOBBY IS A FREE CAT! Dobby has been released from PASE. His kidneys are still sick but no longer critical. He needs to come back for one more test 1/16/23 to determine how severe the long term damage is. He's home, eating drinking and napping. Continue to send good vibes that he keeps eating, drinking, and healing. We are not technically out of the woods yet, but at least he is home!
Total cost for both Art City Urgent Care and Philadelphia Animal Specialty & Emergency after final blood test: $5,508.32
