Latest Update 26 Jan 2023 : Because of your prayers and well wishes Hospital has postponed extubation for now . We are working with them to get the papers finalised to take my Dad back home. Please pray for his speedy evacuation. 

Update 18 jan 2023 : Hospital has agreed to wait till Tuesday until my mom comes before removing the life support. Dad is doing well and hope he recovers quickly from this situation.

Hospital has advised me a deadline 19th of Jan 10 am as his extubation (withdrawal of life support ). 

Only way out is to take him back to India on a medical flight. I have got the quote in INR 4100000 which roughly equates to 75 k AUD.

I need to try this option as his progress through 2 weeks is good and now he is blinking his eyes and responding sometime to touch.

I dont have much time. I need community support to take him back to India where we can give him treatment .

Hi My name is Sudeep and my Dad is currently in ICU . He has been diagnosed with severe brain injury.

Dear Freinds and well-wishers!

I am Sudeep Samal and am commencing this fundraiser to amass funds for my beloved father Subasa Chandra Samal, who recently encountered a horrific end. He traveled to Australia for a joyous holiday and to spend some quality time with me.

Unfortunately, his interaction with fate caused the joyous days to turn into his never-ending suffering. All of a sudden his chest began to hurt, and he suffered an instant heart attack as a result. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and was taken under supervision. And here, the curse of his unfortunate fate didn't stop torturing him, as developed a deadly brain injury and left him suffering.

The MRI report of the brain concludes with Extensive hypoxic injury involving the cerebral cortex and basal ganglia structures, which is intense brain damage. He has been admitted to the Royal prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown NSW 2050, Australia.

Currently, he is confined to the ICU with constant ventilator support, which counts on his life. He is still under the strict supervision of the Experts and has been provided with timely care.

It has been advised by the Experts, to continue his life-saving treatment from our home country, India. But the hefty cost of the transportation puts the entire family in a very questionable situation, will be able to save him?

The entire Cost of the patient transportation from Sydney to India comes with a price tag of INR 2,00,00,000 (approx) and (375,000 AUD-400000 AUD.) This is an ambulance flight with proper intensive care and constant doctor’s supervision. It is an immediate call for us to take, as it holds the answer to my dad’s life.

The current situation has left us hanging by a thread as we cannot do anything due to the scarcity of funds. We had already exhausted our savings in the early treatment and become helpless.

After transportation, we still need to continue the treatment which will again cost around INR 25,00,000. We have burnt a hole in our pockets and cannot afford such a hefty sum of INR 2,25,00,000 at such immediacy.

We have braved up for him and maintained our hope, but slowly the faith is fluttering away and leaving us helpless in saving his life. Hence, I ask for your aid. Please help me save my dearest father from the brutal reality of life. You are the only hope and resort for us and we request you to lend us your kindness. You can save his life!
