Shadows Surgery

On Wednesday, January 3rd, Shadow swallowed a dog toy whole. As he's eaten (and passed) many socks, we were hopeful that he would pass this too. Unfortunately, by the next morning he began vomiting, and on Friday he was unable to keep water down and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. Shadow and our son, Leo have been incredibly bonded for years. He has helped immensely with Leo's anxiety, and is a huge part of our family.

His surgery costs have been quite extensive, and challenging after both the holidays and two recent vet emergencies with our cats. The original estimate we were quoted was just under $10,000.
