My amazing assistant and her family have been unexpectedly displaced due to a devastating fire in her condo building. While we’re incredibly grateful that her unit was not directly affected by the flames, it did suffer smoke damage, and the building is currently unsafe to live in due to hazardous materials being removed from nearby burned units. She’s been advised to vacate the premises for the safety of her family, but unfortunately, her insurance coverage falls short of what's needed to cover the mounting expenses. She now faces the burden of finding and paying for short-term housing, professional cleaning of their belongings (clothes, bedding, the kids’ toys, etc.), food, gas, and all the everyday necessities that quickly add up in times like these. Any contribution, big or small, would go a long way in helping her family stay safe, healthy, and stable as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
