Hi everyone!

Nala has been a part of our family for the past 12 years and we pray we can continue to have her in our lives!

About a week ago, I noticed hard, golf ball-sized bumps on both sides of her neck. As her behavior was normal, I scheduled a regular vet visit for her. A few days later, I noticed her stomach also developed large, firm bumps. This is when we decided to take her to the ER, where she was then referred to oncology after more bumps were found on her armpits, legs, groin, and jaw.

Today, our hearts shattered as our sweet girl was diagnosed with high-grade lymphoma. Canine lymphoma is a spontaneous cancer that is similar to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in humans. With this type of cancer, Nala’s lymph nodes become swollen all around her body and then infiltrate her organs if not treated.

Nala has started L-CHOP therapy which is a 25-week protocol that includes weekly oral or injectable chemotherapy, EKGs, and blood work. Each session will vary in cost but will total around $20,000 overall.

Our sweet girl has brought nothing but lots of love and joy in our lives and we are not ready to say goodbye. Any donations are appreciated during this unexpected and difficult time. All donations will be used towards her treatment. Thank you so so much!

Words cannot express how thankful we are for all the support we received the past few days. Thank you to everyone who has shared, donated, or supported us in any way!

The first photo below shows Nala's swollen lymph nodes in her groin. She then had her pre-chemotherapy treatment, where she was given an L-asparaginase (elspar) injection, an enzymatic treatment used for lymphoma. In just 24 hours, all of her lymph nodes in her groin, armpits, legs, neck, and jaw considerably reduced in size (second photo).

Through her weekly treatments, we pray to continue seeing progress and that she can reach complete remission!
