Hi, everyone! As many of you know, I have been waiting to schedule my top surgery for some time, and I am relieved and excited to say that the day has finally come. While I am lucky enough to have insurance that will pay for the majority of my surgery, there are some costs I will need to pay out-of-pocket such as my deposit and food while recovering. I am shooting for a December surgery date to avoid pushing it into next year (which will cost me more because my insurance deductible will start over again in January). However, I cannot officially schedule it until I pay a deposit of $1,000. So that's where you come in!

Unfortunately, my salary at work covers enough for my necessities, but extra medical costs like this are impossible for me to cover alone. Therefore, the faster I raise this money, the sooner I can schedule and begin the countdown to a, hopefully, December surgery. I can't begin to express how necessary this surgery is to my overall sense of well-being and mental health. This is not an elective surgery but a requirement for me to survive and thrive. I would never be able to express my gratitude for your help; quite frankly, I couldn't do this without it.

I am setting my goal at $1600 to cover the following costs:

1. Top surgery deposit - $1000

2. GoFundMe Fees ~ $50

3. Cost of food delivery/assistance while recovering for 2-3 weeks (I live alone and will have limited assistance for food prep and maintaining my household responsibilities) ~$550
