Help Fund Cancer Treatment for our Mom
Donation protected
Our mom, Irena, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last December. The cancer has progressed to other parts of the body, which has severely impacted normal bodily functions and quality of life.
Due to the constant fatigue and pain she was forced to reduce and then cease operating the hair salon at her residence.
Pancreatic cancer impacts digestive function and causes severe pain when eating most foods normally associated with a cancer fighting regiment. Even 'healthy' options became challenging and less and less available as most things cause discomfort.
A large inoperable tumor in her colon led to another more recent digestive challenge that unfortunately has escalated her digestive distress over time.
At first, our mom tried undergoing chemotherapy as it was suggested by the doctors, but ultimately she decided against it as it wasn't a very good solution for her and the detrimental side effects did not outweigh the beneficial ones. We feel she would not have had the time we had to try alternative treatments if she had continued. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most challenging cancers when it comes to percent effective rates of treatment no matter which you choose, so Irena chose the path that caused less pain and let her live her daily life as best as she can while supporting her body with nutrition and alternative treatments.
Once chemotherapy wasn't a viable option anymore, we sought out alternative medicines that have provided a more holistic approach, such as:
Ozone Therapy
Homeopathic Therapy
UVB Blood Irradiation
High Dose Vitamin C
Acupuncture
Silver Hydrosol
These treatments were the only real options we had to try and rejuvenate Irena's system and nurture her body from the inside as both tumors progressed.
Unfortunately, health insurance doesn't cover alternative medicines, so all expenses have come out of pocket. The high costs for these treatments have accrued very quickly and the financial stress has become overbearing.
This past week she was in the hospital Monday - Thursday after being taken in by ambulance. She is now home again with limited nurse visits.
Those who know Irena will know her smiling face, cheerful voice, and big heart were always ready to help those surrounding her in life as family, friend, colleagues or charities.
We humbly ask for support if you're able to donate any amount. All funds will go to continued care that needs payment immediately and any future expenses that are left after we've reached out for any options to reduce the amount owed.
Thank you,
The Goncharov Family
