On April 7, 2015, Kaci, her husband Justin and daughter Reagan were visiting Justin's grandparents in Tucson, AZ. Kaci was 27 weeks and 4 days pregnant at the time when her water broke. They immediately headed to Tucson Medical Center to more than likely have a baby. Prayers were answered and baby boy Rhett Keller decided he wanted to cook a little longer. And so far, with continued prayer and superior care, no infections and a healthy heart rate continue. Each week that Kaci remains pregnant under doctors' care, is a huge milestone in baby Rhett's development.
For those of you who may not know, Kaci and her family live in south Louisiana. As of today, she will be staying in Tucson until baby Rhett is born and until he is ready to come home. Since she still has 12 weeks to go until her normal due date, Kaci will be in Tucson for about 2-4 months. Justin and Reagan have since returned home to resume as normal of a life as possible. They will try to visit as much as they can but flights and hotels can get very expensive. And if they end up staying in Tucson as long as they need to, it will be for an extended amount of time.
Those of us that care deeply for Kaci and her family felt that they needed a little extra support during this time. And to ease their fears so that Kaci can focus on being a "healthy oven" for that baby boy, we have decided to set up this GoFundMe page to support them. Being in a different town, away from your home, immediate family, your husband and your child is a lot on a pregnant mommy's mind and heart. And we want those things to not be an issue for her. Our goal is to help them be able to visit Kaci as much as possible.
Many have asked us if there is anything they need or can do, so we felt this page would be the best way to show support to Kaci, Justin and Reagan. Kaci continues to post updates on her Facebook page on baby Rhett's status and we will continue to do the same here.
