My wife Gabby got Apollo when he was just a baby. She got him when he was younger than he should have been to go home with a family. His mother was pregnant during Hurricane Irma, and a nice couple brought her in not knowing that she was pregnant. She had the kittens, and the people that brought her started looking for homes for the kittens when they were ready. She ended up getting him when he was still young enough to be bottle-fed. She bottle-fed him as long as she needed to, to ensure he would make it, healthy and safe.

Our daughter grew up with him. They were best buddies all through life and through some of the toughest times, he’s helped her through. He is now 8 years old, and unfortunately, has developed an aggressive form of cancer. He’s been in and out of the vet for various appointments, X-rays, etc. His most recent visit, they’ve recommended amputation of his leg.

The main reason for the GoFundMe is to help raise the funds to have the surgery for Apollo, my wife and daughter's best friend. With the surgery, it will most likely alleviate the possibility of him succumbing to the cancer.
