The Kelly McDonald Memorial Scholarship was established to commemorate the life of an amazing person, continuing her legacy of excellence and generosity posthumously. Kelly passed away on new years eve, 1996 at the young age of 26.
A native of Greenfield Massachusetts, Kelly was a standout track and field athlete at Greenfield High School. Our family decided a befitting way to honor her would be through a scholarship bearing her name. We have agreed with the principal of Greenfield High that proceeds from the scholarship will be given annually to the most deserving graduating track and field athlete who will attend college in the fall.
Kellys parents, Nan and Paul will present the scholarship to the student each year at the awards ceremony. We believe this scholarship is a fitting way to honor a beautiful soul taken from this Earth way before her time.
