Scott's Endometriosis awareness

Hi, my name is Scott and I'm hoping to raise at least £500 in support of Endometriosis UK.

My girlfriend Deanna was hoping to participate in the Cardiff Half Marathon this year and fundraise for Endometriosis Uk, but is unfortunately unable due to this condition. She was gutted and I was thinking what I could do to help, so I've decided to raise money for her and all the other women affected by Endometriosis.

My girlfriend Deanna was diagnosed with Endometriosis back in 2021. It took her 7 years to be diagnosed. This is the average wait time for women in the UK. Endometriosis is where cells similar to those in the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other parts of the body and can cause intense pain at any given moment. 1 in 3 women have difficulties getting pregnant. Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women, yet the research into it is minimal, with little to no treatment. Seeing the impact it has had on my girlfriend, and the limited options she has been given to help manage the condition, makes me want to do what I can to help change this.

Endometriosis UK are the leading UK based charity for Endometriosis. They work to break down barriers to access - whether information, treatment or support - wherever endometriosis impacts on lives. They are a powerful voice for those with endometriosis, including Deanna, and aim to drive up care standards across the UK. Please donate if you can, it'll be so appreciated.
I will be running the half marathon on Sunday 5th October 2025.
