My grandfather Jorge Amaya has been fighting very hard with his battle with liver cancer, was in remission for some time, but it seems that it is about the time for him to transition. My family is coming together for his funeral and memorial, but I am hoping to relieve the financial burden as his medical expenses has taken a toll on our family during these last months of his life with us. He is a citizen of El Salvador and the United States, has spent the last few decades of his life here in South Central L.A., and loved going to church with my grandmother, and hoped to see me finish my bachelor’s degree. He has lived a long life, and we are accepting that he is in pain and that we want him to sleep peacefully. Thank you for your support for our family at this time.
