For the past seven years, Rynn has had a myriad of problems with her right foot and leg. After multiple infections and hospitalizations over that period, she finally had amputation surgery on her right leg in early December of 2016. The cost of necessary medical procedures, medications, and other things needed to survive and function for someone with chronic illnesses adds up quickly and becomes overwhelming. As if this wasn't enough to cope with, while recovering in a physical therapy facility, Rynn's apartment was burglarized the day before she was supposed to come home. Almost everything of value that she owns was stolen, including the things that bring her the most joy in life - her musical and DJing equipment. We estimate the value of the stolen items at several thousand dollars, and are still discovering more and more things gone. On top of paying medical bills and expenses, replacing the stolen items on her own would be very difficult. She is unable to have a handicapped accessible ramp installed to get into her apartment for another few weeks, and is homebound without being able to enjoy music, her biggest passion in life (and with a broken washing machine, on top of all that). That is why we are reaching out to Rynn's friends and family, and other kind souls, to offer a gift of whatever size they can afford (every little bit helps!) so that she can replace the stolen items and pay off some of her medical debts and expenses incurred due to medical issues. Rynn is one of the most positive people I know, and I'm honored and lucky to call her a friend. She does so much for other people, and is usually private about her medical struggles, but all of this was just too much to deal with alone.
