Hi guys this is Karlee. My siblings and I are asking for donations for my Dad, Scott Smith. Over the last few years my Dad has been through a lot health wise and personal.

 

A couple years ago my Dad was let go at his company that he had worked almost 30 years for. This was a huge shock to him and my family as this ruined a lot of my parents plans for retirement and so forth. With this stress of trying to find a new job and trying to start over at an older age, my Dad suffered a heart attack. Thankfully he was okay, but with his new job (with a big pay cut) and no insurance, the medical bills have been a big strain.

 

We got another stunt of bad news this past August when my Dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He has been such a trooper through everything, but has missed so much work already with going through chemo and some hiccups that have happened through the process. At the end of this month, Scott is getting surgery to have his bladder removed and a new one formed. While this is great news to resolve the cancer, this is an extremely invasive surgery and it’s going to take quite a bit of time for recovery. Not to mention, he just got over having COVID a second time! With all of this, it is more work missed and medical bills, really any bills that aren’t getting paid.

 

We have tried to have a fundraiser of sorts for my Dad but if you know him at all he did NOT want that attention whatsoever. Scott is such a hard worker and has provided for his family for such a long time. He is not a person to ask for help, or have people feel sorry for him. So I’m here asking if anyone can help in any way they can it would be greatly appreciated. I just want to help my parents out like they have for me countless times. Please continue to pray for my Dad’s journey and recovery so he can be his normal self again!! Thank you!
