Hello everyone,
On the 4th of August, my mother was diagnosed with high grade bladder cancer. She was scheduled to remove the initial tumor from her bladder the following week. Although the doctor had removed the tumor from her bladder, the tumor has spread to her left ureter and kidney. Now she requires a surgery to remove her left kidney and partial of her bladder.
After weeks of effort to find a doctor who accepts our insurance, we were unfortunate to find one. Without insurance coverage the required surgery cost would be unimaginable. Therefore, she has decided to travel to her home country, South Korea, to receive the proper treatment. The operation will be less expensive in Korea, but it's still not an amount we can afford on our own.
She is a devoted Christian, a loving wife, and a caring mother. She never likes to ask for help from others because of the burden she might cause them. Yet, she's always willing to help others if they ever needed it.
The profile picture of her is my favorite picture of all time. It was taken when she traveled to Immokalee, FL with our church members for a local missionary. She's at her happiest when doing God's work and it's been tough on her that she's unable to do so. Please support and pray for her journey to a full recovery, so that she may be able to do God's work once again.
