Hi my name is Colette and I am fundraising for my best friend of over 20 years, Andrea...Andi. Andi was diagnosed with breast ca in 2014 but in Nov of 2017 her doctors changed her diagnosis to terminal stage 4. The cancer, despite treatment had spread to her bones, liver, lung, and brain. Andi had full brain radiation in 2018 reducing her 10 tumors down to just 1! The tumors in her liver and lung also resolved but the cancer that had spread to her bones never did respond to treatment as hard as we tried. Andi is by far the STRONGEST PERSON I KNOW! Its now 2023 and she has beaten all of the odds. SHE IS A WARRIOR! SHES A FIGHTER! AND SHES MY ABSOLUTE HERO Im so blessed to call her MY BEST FRIEND. Recently though her cancer has spread aggressively and now almost all of her bones (full spine, most of her right arm, left shoulder, femurs, hips, and ribs) are riddled with tumors and despite another round of full brain radiation in October she now has 14 tumors in her brain which didn't respond to the treatment. Andi is a single mama to my beautiful 14 year old neice Ella. She hasn't been able to work for quite some time and she has to travel 3.5 hr to salt lake for chemo/treatment multiple times a month. The cost of travel (gas is sooo high), lodging and meals are taking a toll on her and her family. Andi now has an electric wheelchair due to mobility issues brought on by the painful tumors in her hips, back, and legs and since her current car isn't something she can put her chair in she had to spend what little money she had left on a used suv that we can load her wheelchair in easier. Andrea is the most beautiful, kind loving soul and she hates to ever have to ask for help. But as her best friend I know that there is no way she can afford to continue covering costs for travel, treatment, house payment, monthly bills and the costs that come with raising a teenage girl as a single mama on her own. Please help my best friend if you are able. The financial burdens of cancer are so much and I want her to be able to focus on healing and getting stronger and if we can reduce the stress brought on by the financial strains I truly feel like Andi might just be able to continue to kick cancer square in its chops!
