Rylee Oxford’s Missionary Journey to Utah

Dear Family & Friends,
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! I am writing to share an exciting and humbling calling that God has placed on my heart and to invite you to partner with me in this journey of faith.
Over the past few months, I have felt a growing conviction to step out in faith and serve as a missionary, specifically in Utah—a place where the gospel of Jesus Christ is deeply needed. During my summer trip to Utah with the Alathea Ministry, I witnessed the incredible need for Christ’s love and truth in this region. Since then, my desire to serve has only grown. This past month, I was offered a missionary internship with Tri-Grace Ministries (www.trigrace.org) in Ephraim, Utah, and I joyfully accepted! I officially start January 5, 2025.
Utah is a state where many Mormons are searching for truth yet often find themselves anchored in tradition or a works-based understanding of righteousness. My heart breaks for those who have yet to experience the freedom and fullness of God’s grace found in Christ alone. Romans 10:14 asks, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” God has called me to step into this verse and be a voice to share the good news of salvation through Jesus.
Under Christ Community Church’s leadership and as part of my mission, I will be serving daily at Tri-Grace Ministries’ Café and Bible Museum, a spot for engaging with Snow College students and the local community of Ephraim, Utah, a small town with a population of just 6,108. This ministry provides a unique opportunity to share the gospel and build meaningful relationships in a setting where truth and hospitality intersect. While I don’t know all the opportunities God has for me, I do know that on Sundays, I will serve at a small local church, where I hope to connect with the children’s ministry. Serving children has been a particular passion of mine, having been deeply blessed by the children and families of Christ Community Church of Laguna Hills. I feel strongly that this is God’s calling on my life, and I am excited to pour into others as I have been poured into.
This mission is not just about me going, but about YOU, the body of Christ, coming together to fulfill the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19–20 commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Together, we can bring this command to life in Ephraim, Utah.
To make this mission possible, I am seeking both prayer and financial support. My financial need for this six-month mission is not fully known. While I am provided with a room and board. These funds will allow me to be fully sustainable, covering my basic needs such as travel expenses, food, gas, phone, and my insurance. Additionally, the funds will enable me to meet service opportunities as they arise, blessing those I am ministering to in practical ways. So, stepping out in Faith, I will not be putting out a specific ask. (Even though there is a default) I want to leave it in God’s hands to provide my every need from whatever He places on your heart to give.
Whether you are able to give a one-time gift or ongoing monthly support, every bit helps bring this mission to life. I would love to share more about this opportunity if you’re interested or meet with you personally or over zoom to talk further.
Thank you for considering being part of this journey. Your support, both prayerful and financial, means more than words can express. Together, we can bring the love of Christ to those in Utah in 2025!
With gratitude and love,
Miss Rylee Oxford
