Little Rylan is almost 9 months old and still a medical mystery. Drs main concern is to get Rylan to gain weight before pursuing more trial and error procedures and medications. He has not gained weight in over 3 months, and actually has lost some.
Currently Rylan is on a PICC line for nutrition after multiple feeding tubes failed. His surgeons and GI specialist are working on a new theory that he might have Pseudo Obstruction, but they cant try the medication until he is bigger and stronger. He is admitted at OHSU until Hannah learns the pump and then they will be released to the Ronald McDonald House where they were able to get a room for the past 2 weeks. They are 6 hours from their home in Burns, Or and also have 2 toddlers. The toddlers have been staying with family in Burns and Portland and the Ronald McDonald House, when they can. As you can imagine it has been extreamly hard for the kids to be away from their mom for so long and only seeing her here and there. The family has no idea how long they will be in Portland but the Drs think at least a few months.
The money from this fundraiser will go straight to the family for gas, grocery, bills, care for the toddlers and anything else the family may need while they are displaced.
