Help with Rylan Brewer's medical expenses

As a friend of Kevin, Kimberly, & Rylan Brewer, I’m interceding on their behalf to try & help provide hope in the moments of high stress and immense anxiety as they care for their son, Rylan, who is battling two rare diseases. During the Spring of 2024 Rylan went from being a vibrant young man, playing golf & working out at the gym, to preparing for graduation as a Cum Laude scholar from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Business Finance degree, to being homebound fighting a rare disease. To put into words what the family has endured, financially and emotionally, during the past nine months is indescribable.

Kevin and Kimberly have restructured their lives to where they can provide 24-7 care and transportation for Rylan to get to and from numerous doctor appointments. To say they have faced incredibly challenging times as they care for Rylan is an understatement.

Rylan was recently diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and MALS (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome), which is considered a rare, chronic, and debilitating disease. Upon discovering a surgeon in California that specializes in surgeries to reverse these diseases, and after months of medical tests and bloodwork, it has been confirmed that Rylan will undergo surgery for his MALS this month in Santa Monica, California.

Over the next few weeks, we’re asking for continued prayers and support as the Brewer family prepares to embark on this medical journey. Over the past nine months, the medical bills, in relation to doctor visit travels, treatments, and medications, have grown enormously overwhelming. However, Rylan’s upcoming surgery has revealed another substantial amount of money that Kevin and Kimberly will have to incur in order to help their 22-year-old son return to a healthy lifestyle.
