Hi everyone,

Last Saturday (3/23/24), my best friend John was severely injured in a rock climbing accident. He fell thirty feet, breaking both of his femurs, his right arm, and his jaw.

Miraculously, he managed not only to survive the fall, but also to do so without any predicted loss of motor function, paralysis, or permanent issues otherwise.

He has been treated at the hospital, and has already received his necessary surgeries. The next step is going to be for him to heal, recover, and work through the process of physical therapy. This will include moving to an acute rehab facility where he will recover.

With that in mind, the medical costs associated have already begun to add up.

John's surgeries, hospital stay, ambulance cost, dental care, and future expenses regarding his recovery are expected to amount to just about $20,000 USD.

This is particularly troublesome, as John worked a very physical job as a line cook at a steakhouse - essentially, he will not be able to work to support himself during his recovery.

John is one of the most kind-hearted, caring people I have ever met, and it's already been a rough year for him. Between having his car stolen, having COVID, and now this accident, he's been through a lot.

I am crowdfunding his expenses on his behalf because I want to, with your help, alleviate as much of the financial stress and burden he will come to face as I possibly can. He is constantly putting others above himself, including myself so many times throughout our over a decade of friendship, and I want to return that favor.
