Ryen Bergman Memorial fund

Hello my name is Cherri Landry and I am fundraising for the Bergman family.

Ryen Bergman (Hanney) was a beautiful young mother who was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 32 years old in 2019. Ryen underwent numerous surgeries with many complications, spent many nights in the hospital away from her family and completed over one-hundred rounds of chemotherapy. She fought long and hard, refusing to give up and leave behind her loving husband Don; and three children Sebastian (15), Lhaicy (13), and step-daughter Ella (13). Unfortunately in August of 2023, Ryen stopped responding to treatment, and was given approximately 6-8 weeks to live. Ryen, a true fighter, beat those odds and lived 6 more months.

Unfortunately, Ryen passed away the morning of February 23rd, in her home with her loving husband by her side. Since her passing, Don has become Lhaicy and Sebastians legal guardian, as they had no legal father. Don has openly taken on a huge financial responsibility becoming a single father to three teenagers on one income. Although Ryen did not work, she still received income and was a huge help in paying the monthly bills; which Don now has to pay himself, in addition to everything a child needs on a day to day basis. I created this go fund me to help alleviate the financial burden of paying for her celebration of life, and any remaining funds will be put into a saving account towards the future needs of the children.
