Rydon's Road to Recovery

On December 16th, Rydon experienced what we believe to be a freak accident between him and his Rottweiler siblings. Rydon suffered significant soft-tissue damage to his scalp and right shoulder. He was rushed to surgery at Jupiter Medical Center where he received approximately 50 stitches and 20 staples. Rydon was then flown by LifeFlight to Miami Children's Hospital. He was admitted to the pediatric ICU so he could receive the best care possible from their trauma team and surgeons. The surgeons were happy to see the progress over the time he was there. However, it is still too soon to tell how his wounds will heal, leaving the possibility of future surgeries on his scalp. Rydon has made significant progress, but he still has a long road ahead. We are so thankful for the care he has received and grateful we are all home for the holidays. Rydon is a true warrior with his heroic big sister, Aubrey, as his savior and protector. We can't thank everyone enough for the love and support we have received thus far. Anything is appreciated in this time of tragedy, thank you and we love you all!
