Ryder and his family experienced a devestating house fire on Thursday night the 15th of June. Lightning struck the roof of their home and quickly engulfed everything in flames. Melissa, Anna and Princeton fire departments worked tirelessly in the pouring rain and hail to quickly attack the blaze, unfortunatly the fire was not easily tamed. The Slaton's were fortunate enough to remove their important documents and few special belongings, but most importantly themselves and their sweet dog safely.

The Slaytons are overwhelmed with thanks for all of the outpouring of everone wanting to help them during this difficult time. They are a softspoken, private family who have been taken back by the outpouring of love and God's hands in this tragic situation. The Melissa Family is truly amazing!
