Clyde is one of those individuals that work and play hard. During a much-deserved vacation break and a definite Bucket List check, Clyde encountered difficulties reaching the Summit of Mount Everest.

Life-changing decisions were made, and Clyde turned around within roughly 300 yards of reaching his goal when equipment failure and extreme weather conditions forced him to back down. A harrowing descent left him with severe frostbite, resulting in a BKA (below knee amputation).

I am glad to report that he is back home and on the mend, which brings me to the reason for this charity ride. Clyde will undergo arduous rehabilitation and physical therapy to prepare him for the next chapter in his life, getting along with a prosthetic.

The “Ryde for Clyde” Charity Ride donations will fund and assist Clyde with unforeseen expenses and help pay for a prosthetic leg.
