Help our mom fight breast cancer

In July, our mom informed us she had found a lump in her breast a couple of weeks earlier, and that in just a few weeks, it had spread to a lymph node in her upper arm. Her journey has just started, and she has an incredible oncology and surgery team to guide her, as well as, a super loving and supportive family and group of friends. She is currently managing chemo, fatigue and nausea, and much more, before she is even able to get the surgery that will remove the lump, her breasts, and her uterus. Looking at her, you wouldn’t guess that she had cancer. We haven’t seen her cry over it since she gave us the news, but we're not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. She’s strong and she won’t let us see how much pain she’s in, but it’s the little things that tell us just how hard this is for her. The look in her eyes when she isn’t able to pick up her grandchild, for example, or her reluctancy to cancel her planned trips for the future. Our mom doesn’t ask us for anything (minus the occasional demand to “clean this house, it looks like a pigsty!”). She has spent her whole life giving us everything we needed, even when the things we thought we needed weren’t necessary at all. Now it’s our turn. We are hoping to raise $15,000 to help her cover the expenses of her current, and future, treatments. As a wedding photographer, she sees the power and beauty of love on a daily basis. Now that she is unable to work, we want to shower her with as much love as possible. This is her fight, and she’ll finish it stronger than before, but we’re asking you to help us help her. We refuse to let this turn our lives upside down. We refuse to let it win.
