So proud of you, Ryan. You did it. You did it well. For you to be able to run around with joy and be full of energy going fast everywhere during your chemotherapy was so encouraging for everyone to see. Although you did break some rules like running into any patient room with an open door, that's how you made your mark and made friends. You've encouraged so many friends. You've brought so many smiles. You've been such an inspiration. You've been so brave and strong. You've been a walking testimony of God's love and power.
Thank you for celebrating with us on this very special day. Thank you for crying and hurting with us when we first started this whole journey. Thank you for providing strength and comfort through your prayers, words of encouragement and acts of kindness during our fight. Thank you for being there for us. Thank you for shaping our son to be strong, fierce, brave, kind and cheerful.
Thank you PHOOT fam for being a part of our lives. Thanks for those who took the time to come in even on your day off and those who Facetimed in to be a part of the celebration. Yall helped us so much to make it here. We will never forget you and we will be sure to visit!

My Child Has Cancer.
Those words kept repeating in my head the first time I found out Ryan had AML. I think I kept repeating that over and over again while staring at his tiny precious peaceful sleeping face to get myself to believe it. It happened so suddenly unexpectedly so maybe I was just in disbelief and had myself say that to realize what was going on and accept it because we got a tough journey ahead of us and I need to get it together and be the best mom I can be by staying strong and support him with all that I can however I can. And to do that, I gotta face reality. My child has cancer.
If you know Ryan, he's a strong and energetic boy. We call him our little thug in Korean (깡패) because he can throw a strong punch He's definitely stronger than his older brother and sometime even I struggle winning over his strength. I always wondered why he was created so strong for a baby, but now I see why. I have no doubt in my mind that this little 깡패 will be fighting with all his might in his battle against leukemia. He's gonna kick ass.
We wanted to take this time to thank you. Wow. Just wow. The amount of love and support we received thus far has been absolutely unreal. We are overwhelmed and blessed by it. Probably one of the toughest situations a parent can go through, but because of your prayers, gifts, messages, etc, we are able to stand tall, knowing y'all are with us in this fight. It does make a difference you know... Your prayers We should be in a whole lot of hot mess than this, but we are comforted by the Holy Spirit and strengthened by His Grace. We definitely feel all your prayers being lifted for our boy. We assure you, your prayers are not being unheard. Our hearts are at peace because of it and we are able to stay strong because of it. We firmly believe prayer is power and it's the most helpful and useful thing anyone can do for us in this time, so please, we humbly ask you to keep him in your prayers. God is sovereign and good. We know He has a plan and a purpose.
