Ryan's Transplant: A Family's Miracle
Donation protected
Hello friends! I’m Tiffany Huizenga and I’m here to share Riley’s friend’s story during this difficult time. Riley’s friend, Ryan Magaril, is currently in Omaha at Nebraska Medicine. About 3 weeks ago, he got admitted to Sanford in Sioux Falls for looking yellow. At the same time he got admitted, his mom, Sue, got admitted to Orange City Area Health System in hospice. She’s been battling cancer for quite some time now. When Ryan got admitted 3 weeks ago, he was yellow, his kidneys were shutting down, having liver failure, and bloated/swelling. He somehow survived and made it to Omaha this past weekend and got a liver transplant today! God does work in mysterious ways. On top of Ryan being in Omaha and his mom in hospice, they also lost a dad and husband about six months ago. His brother, Jordan, is in Sheldon at Village Northwest. He’s having a tough time with this as well, with everything happening. Ryan has been a good friend of Riley’s for a long time and so many others. It breaks my heart that all this is happening within 6 months. Ryan is such a kind-hearted, caring, funny guy. He can make anyone laugh with his smart comments, which he still did while being in the hospital. With everything happening and having to go back and forth, it’s a lot. I wanted to help them out by setting this up. Ryan will be in Omaha for at least 2 months for treatment and Sue is slowly declining.
I ask for prayers for this family during this difficult time and to lift them up. If you find it in your heart to help by donating, it’d mean the world to them.
I’ll try to post updates as much as I can when I know more information. Thank you everyone!
