Ryan was in a bad accident while testing a car. He nearly lost his hand. Thanks to a fantastic plastic surgeon in Austin, he may keep it. Still tbd how much mobility he will have, but the odds are good he'll have at least three fingers with mobility.
We don't know how much the bill will be until we get it, but we know he's had major reconstructive surgeries and will need a couple more before we're done. And he has been in the ICU for the last week and is looking at 2-4 more in the hospital (update Jan, 6)
Currently, the medical insurers and worker's compensation are in a battle to determine liability for Ryan's medical expense coverage. In his words "it's a long complicated situation we don't have all the answers to", but we know it will be some time before the insurance kicks in and once it does it will not cover all the expenses. Thus, we could use some support with immediate and interim expenses.
