Hey! I'm Ryan!
I’m a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community currently living in Lititz, PA. Due to increasing challenges here, I’m raising funds to relocate to San Diego, CA — a place where I can live safely, soberly, openly, and build a stable future. This isn’t a “fresh start” fantasy. It’s a necessary
move for safety, mental health, and long-term stability.
Why I Need to Move:
Over the past 7 months, living in Pennsylvania has become increasingly difficult because of the lack of linkage to healthcare as an individual living with HIV and Bi Polar 1 disorder. It's impacted my daily life and work. Even though I have received some access to care, it is nothing close to what I need in order to be a productive and contributing person to society.
Relocating to San Diego where I have friends and loved ones that want me would give me access to stronger legal protections, inclusive healthcare and community support, safer housing opportunities, and better job prospects. This move is about survival and growth.
Where the Funds Will Go:
Goal: $3,000
• Travel costs (gas, flight, etc.): $1,000
• Security deposit + first month’s rent: $1,000
• Emergency cushion (1–2 months expenses): $1,000
My Plan:
• I’ve researched neighborhoods and housing in San Diego.
• I am applying for jobs in food service and have a couple of leads already.
• I plan to move by July 1, 2026.
• I will provide regular updates as the move progresses.
How You Can Help:
If you’re able to donate — even $5 — it truly helps. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign means the world. Every contribution moves me closer to safety, stability, community, and the ability to live authentically without fear.
From the Bottom of My Heart...Relocating is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Asking for help is even harder. But community is how we survive — and how we thrive. Thank you for reading. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for believing that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
With gratitude,
Ryan Dixon
