Ryan's Healing Journey
Donation protected
My name is Grace and I am making this fundraiser to help my partner, Ryan Hampton, stay afloat financially while he heals from a brutal attack that happened at his place of work in the early hours of Oct. 15th.
Ryan's jaw is broken in two places, preventing him from chewing any food and making it very, very painful to speak and swallow. The doctors say it will be a very painful healing process and will require surgery.
*Post-op Update*: Surgery went well. He had 2 plates put in, 2 arches to realign his bite, and elastics/rubber bands to keep his jaw closed. The elastics will be in place for minimum 8 weeks. He will have a 2nd surgery to remove the arches in 3 months. Dental issues will begin being addressed sometime after that.
He has a very nasty gash and golfball on his forehead, but luckily no damage to his brain or neck . He also has broken teeth. We will know the severity of his teeth when his jaw is healed enough to see a dentist. It appears whoever did this focused on his head so I can only imagine what their goal was. We still do not have any information on the person who did this, but there is an ongoing investigation . If anyone has any information, please reach out to me or Ryan directly.
Unfortunately, Ryan can't just focus on healing while bills are due. Anything that can be spared to put our minds at ease and aid in his recovery journey is truly and greatly appreciated. He is in a great deal of pain and will be off work for 3 months minimum, pending what the doctors say.
If you made it this far, thank you. And if you can't donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser on your socials. Proceeds will go towards Ryan's monthly bills and medical expenses. A little help will go a long way.
For those who do not know Ryan, he is gentle, kind hearted, incredibly talented, and a friend to everyone. He is well known in the community not only for his unbiased generosity and friendliness, but his raw musical talent and ability. He has been a direct contributer to making the local music scene what it is today for over two decades and many more to come. He's the type of guy who leaves a lasting impression on you, through outwardly kindness and compassion.
He's always creating - whether it's writing new music, crafting, repurposing anything and everything, or rearranging 95% of our furniture at minimum once a week. But you will always find him in front of the TV 7-8pm for "family hour", where he dedicates all his attention to Pat, Vanna, and the Jeopardy board.
Ryan is a very humble guy who doesn't often ask for help, so anything at all makes a huge difference. Thank you X million <3
