Ryan's Cause
Donation protected
Go Fund me have asked that I update the legitimacy of this campaign by answering A few questions.
My name is Gareth (Gearóid) Meredith, and I am from Ballymun Dublin. Ryan was one of my closest friends and practically family. I know Ryan through the marriage of my uncle and his aunt. All funds raised will be going towards the cost of bringing Ryan's body home and towards the cost of his burial. I will be publicly handing this money to his family by going live on Facebook to confirm its legitimacy.
I cannot thank everyone enough for your kind donations. Ryan would be beaming with pride.
Ryan was a living legend that will always live on in our hearts. Here's what happened:
Ryan had just recently left us here in Ireland for a new life in Scotland. He had just turned 20 years old. A talented, bright and vibrant young man are the best words used to describe Ryan. He had the whole world as his oyster and treated everyday as a celebration. Ryan brought colour, innovation, and laughs everywhere he went. He was such a loved person in the LGBT community in Dublin.
Yesterday evening (April 1st) we received the phone call that no person ever wants to get. Ryan passed away suddenly in Scotland. This was devastating to his family, friends and peers. We are now calling on his friend and peers to help the family get through this ordeal.
Burials as we all know are very expensive. We also have to get the body returned from the uk. I know the target is big, but I know that the hears of all his friends, family and peers are bigger. Please help us bring our "girlie" home and give him the send off he deserves.
