6 years old Rayan's Bone Marrow Transplant

Request for financial support for Second Bone marrow Transplant

My nephew, Master Rayan Riya who is 4 years old, is suffering from Thalassemia Major disease. He was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 2 and the family has been spending their income on blood transfusion and chelation therapy for every month for the last 2 years.

He was advised Bone marrow Transplantation as a permanent cure for this disease and the family somehow by selling their home and other properties were able to do the operation on 19th February 2021. But unfortunately, he had a primary graft failure and CMV infection which made the transplantation a failure. He is currently on anti CMV treatment with artesunate, Voriconazole and broad-spectrum antibiotics along with growth factor and Oral TPO agonist revolade at Aster Medicity.

He is advised for a second transplant at the earliest in view of the graft failure. The estimated cost for the next transplant is around 30lakhs
