Ryanne was critically injured in an automobile accident prior to midnight on Friday, April 17th. The accident shut down I-69 for more than four hours Ryanne who goes by “Ry” was “clinically dead” on the scene. First responders administered CPR repeatedly until they were able to revive Ry. In addition to a brain bleed, Ry suffered a broken arm, ankle, clavicle, nose and hip socket. Due to the severity of her injuries she was taken by helicopter to a Level 1 trauma center in Indianapolis. Ry was placed on a ventilator and underwent several surgeries to repair her broken bones. By the grace of God, Ry survived this tragic accident and has been taken off the ventilator. The road to recovery is far from over and is going to include additional hospitalization at a local rehab facility, months if not years of physical therapy and many follow up doctor appointments. Ry is a full time parts counter sales person at Ed Martin Toyota. Ry has been employed with the Ed Martin group for almost 4 years. Ry also worked part time as a server at Murphy’s Craft House alongside her brother, Austin. I was Ry’s office manager for the past two years and had the pleasure of getting to know her on a more personal level. What makes Ry light up like a Christmas tree? Eli, her 8 year old son! She said her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mom! The other subject she raved about was her two dogs, Dillinger and Floyd!! Ry is the oldest of two children born to Phil and Donna. The bond between Ry and Austin is unparalleled and anyone who knows this family would agree! Ry has medical and car insurance with co-pays, co-insurances and deductibles of course. Ry’s car was a total loss as a result of the impact. The things she will need help with monetarily are monthly household bills, dog food, a wheelchair accessible ramp, handicap accommodations and equipment for her bathroom, out of pocket medical expenses, transportation costs, loss of income, childcare expenses, replacement eyeglasses, home health nurses and a replacement phone to be able to communicate with her family and friends. I have donated a wheelchair, walker, crutches, CAM boot, bath seat and waterproof cover for her boot.
